Milk needed for Griffin

Liz has gotten lots of very generous donations of breastmilk for Griffin, but she's gotten low and is in need of a new batch. Please let her know if you are able to help her out at all or know someone who is.

Why this site?

In January 2011, Liz was diagnosed with breast cancer -- invasive ductal carcinoma. Her four children are aged 21, 10, 6, and 1. Liz has been a mentor to many natural-minded families in the greater Washington D.C./Northern Virginia area and has worked as an advocate of natural birth, homebirth, and breastfeeding.

This site has been created to share information and to gather support for her as Liz sets out on her healing journey with limited financial resources and no health insurance (note: Liz was able to get Pre-existing Condition Insurance, through "Obamacare", as of April 2011, and also received financial aid from VA Hospital Center from January through July 2011. She is extremely grateful for these, but still faces a pile of medical bills.)

Healing practitioners of all types in the Northern Virginia area are invited to offer their pro bono services.

Vendors of pure foods, supplements and healing products (essential oils, all-natural body products, cleaners -- anything that would be safe and healthful for a woman with cancer) may also make donations.

We are also seeking a web developer willing to move this site to Wordpress and do some pro bono coding.

Liz also has a LotsaHelpingHands website for anyone interested in providing meals, childcare, or help with groceries.
